UC1 is a hardware plug-in controller like no other. It features dedicated knob-per-function controls for EQ and Dynamics, a centre section with full Bus Compressor controls, and an authentic moving-coil gain reduction meter. This combination provides the most creative, intuitive, and effective means of controlling plug-ins within your DAW session. In addition to controlling 360°-enabled plug-ins such as Channel Strip 2, 4K B, 4K E, 4K G and Bus Compressor 2, UC1 includes 360 Link and 360 Link Bus Compressor, two ground-breaking plug-ins that allow you to control any 3rd party plug-in from the UC1 surface.

Virtual SSL Console
At the heart of the UC1 system is the SSL 360° Plug-in Mixer, a place to view and control all of your 360°-enabled plug-ins. The 360° Plug-in Mixer offers an efficient way of interacting with multiple plug-ins simultaneously, further bridging the gap between console and in-the-box workflow. Thanks to the 360 Link system, 3rd party plug-ins are also shown in the plug-in mixer.
SSL sound and workflow
UC1 provides dedicated controls of all key SSL 360°-enabled plug-in parameters. EQ, Filters, Compressor and Gate/Expander controls offer the same configuration and visual feedback as found on large-format SSL consoles, allowing you to quickly home in on your channel processing sweet spot. SSL plug-ins are the only plug-ins designed by the team of SSL engineers at HQ in Oxford, with exclusive access to the original data sheets and specifications from which the consoles were made.
SSL 360 Link & 360 Link Bus Compressor
The SSL 360 Link system brings a new level of power and flexibility to your hybrid SSL workflow. It allows effortless control of any third-party plug-in using the UC1 hardware. UC1 draws upon decades of console design experience to provide a knob-per-function plug-in control surface and now with SSL 360 Link and 360 Link Bus Compressor, you can control an unlimited range of sonic flavours, giving you even more creative options when producing and mixing music.
4K B Plug-in
Full of tone, punch and rich non-linear analogue character, the 4K B is a detailed emulation of the legendary SL 4000 console B channel strip. The iconic sound of the SL 4000 B console is synonymous with records that emerged from London’s famous Townhouse Studio 2, the ‘Stone Room’ in the late 70’s, early 80’s.

Developed from our digital modelling of the renowned XL 9000K console, SSL Native Channel Strip 2 gives you everything you need to get that radio-ready, modern SSL sound in your DAW. Clean, linear tone shaping for maximum flexibility. Switch between classic E and G-Series EQ curves.
Bus Compressor 2
The centre section compressor from SSL’s 1980’s G Series analogue console is an audio production legend. It is the secret behind countless classic recordings. Bus Compressor 2 Plug-in boasts a host of enhancements, including Attack, Release and Compression ratios for added flexibility with individual sounds and subgroups, in addition to inbuilt wet/dry and S/C HPF control, as well as switchable 2x and 4x Oversampling.

At the heart of UC1 are the Bus Compressor controls that talk directly to SSL Native Bus Compressor 2 or 3rd party plug-ins hosted in 360 Link Bus Compressor. The authentic layout and metering feels like you’re controlling a hardware bus comp built into the centre section of an SSL console. With a classic moving-coil gain reduction meter as found on SSL consoles since the 1970’s, it represents the Bus Compressors time constants and gain reduction characteristics perfectly for producers and engineers to know exactly how it’s reacting with their instruments, sub groups and of course mix bus.

We understand this and that’s why we made sure UC1 offers the tools, visual feedback and total synchronisation between hardware and software required to allow you to work the way you want at any given time. Get hands-on with the UC1 hardware, adjust parameters with the mouse in the individual plug-ins or immerse yourself in the Plug-in Mixer - changes are always synchronised across all software and hardware.
