Jackson X Series Spectra Bass Guitar - Matte Blue Frost
Designed with Heavy Hitters in Mind
Jackson’s X Series Spectra bass guitar is a seriously capable instrument designed explicitly for high-gain genres. This neck-through bass centers around a maple neck and laurel fingerboard. A neck-through design boosts instrument stability, vibration transfer, and sustain. Your fingers will delight at the 12- to 16-inch compound radius fingerboard, too. Meanwhile, two poplar body wings supply a lightweight and balanced tonal profile. Plug in, and the active Jackson Medium-Output humbuckers and 3-band EQ deliver hard-hitting tones fit for any genre of heavy music. What’s more, there’s an active/passive switch, so you can keep playing if the batteries die.
Rafter-shaking Jackson pickups
Your new X Series Spectra bass is loaded with two Jackson Medium-Output humbucking pickups. These humbuckers are designed to hammer amps and pedals with hard-hitting tones. Despite their boosted output, the Medium-Output humbuckers enjoy a balanced tonal profile with plenty of low-end aggression. The X Series Spectra also features switchable active operation via a push-pull volume knob. Engage the active mode, and you get a 3-band EQ to shape your tone to fit the musical situation at hand.
Neck-through design enhances resonance and sustain
The X Series Spectra bass revolves around a neck-through design. It all starts with a maple neck selected for its strength and resilience. From there, two poplar body wings and a poplar top are glued in place. By leveraging a neck-through design, the X Series Spectra Bass enjoys extreme stability and resonance. The addition of polar body wings gives your new bass a balanced tonal foundation without weighing you down.
Smooth playability
Playing the Jackson X Series Spectra bass is an absolute pleasure. The neck’s Speed Neck carve is tailor-made for quick, high-octane playing. A laurel fingerboard sits atop the neck. The fingerboard features a compound 12- to 16-inch radius. A tighter radius at the nut offers more immediate playability, similar to that of a classic bass. Move into the higher frets, and the radius steadily flattens out, giving you more space between strings for fingerboard fireworks.
