Road Tough. Studio Ready.

Yamaha’s MG Series represents over a century of craftsmanship and innovation. Now in its third generation, the MG lineup incorporates technologies from Yamaha’s high‑end professional consoles, including studio‑quality preamps, powerful processing, and rugged construction.

With an intuitive interface and models ranging from 6 to 20 channels, MG mixers are ideal for installations, recording, and live sound. Their solid build and flexible design deliver reliable performance and sound quality unmatched in their class.

D‑PRE Discrete Class‑A Mic Preamps

The foundation of great sound starts with great preamps. Yamaha’s D‑PRE preamps use an inverted Darlington circuit for more power and lower impedance, delivering rich lows, smooth highs, and extremely low distortion. Their wide frequency response handles any source naturally, reducing the need for heavy EQ or corrective processing.

High‑Quality MG01 Op‑Amp

The MG Series features Yamaha’s custom MG01 op‑amps, designed in collaboration with a semiconductor manufacturer. These op‑amps prioritize sound quality, using optimized circuitry, high‑grade silicon wafers, and copper wiring for exceptional resolution and clarity.

Switchable Phantom Power & PAD

Phantom power allows full use of condenser microphones. PAD switches attenuate hot input signals, preventing clipping and ensuring clean gain staging for mic or line‑level sources.

1‑Knob Compressors

Yamaha’s 1‑knob compressors provide instant, optimized compression settings with a single control — perfect for tightening guitars, adding punch to bass, smoothing vocals, or controlling snare dynamics.

EQ & High‑Pass Filters

MG mixers include 3‑band EQ on mono channels for precise tonal shaping. High‑pass filters remove unwanted low‑frequency rumble for a cleaner, more controlled mix.

AUX / Effect Sends / Group Routing

AUX sends expand your setup with external effects, recording devices, or monitor mixes. Depending on the model, MG mixers offer stereo buses, group outputs, and flexible routing options for live or studio applications.

Versatile I/O Connectivity

MG mixers feature Neutrik™ balanced XLR connectors, combo jacks, stereo inputs, 2TR RCA inputs, and USB routing options on select models. Outputs include XLR, TRS, Group Out, AUX/FX Out, Monitor Out, and Headphone Out.

LED Level Metering

Bright, easy‑to‑read LED meters allow precise monitoring of output levels.

Metal Chassis

Built with a rugged, powder‑coated metal chassis, MG mixers are designed for durability. Internal layout separates power supply and analog circuitry for reduced noise and improved reliability.
