AN-X Engine

Integrated into the Motion Control system, the AN-X Engine allows you to create expressive, unique analog sounds. It includes:

• Two filters (10 filter types)
• Pulse width modulation & Oscillator Self Sync
• Ring modulation, FM, and wave shaper
• Wave folder
• Voltage drift and aging settings to simulate vintage synth behavior

AWM2

Experience realism and detail with the MODX M Advanced Wave Memory (AWM2). Offering up to 128 Elements per Part, AWM2 allows for more layers and articulations, giving you an expansive canvas for sound creation, especially for “nameable” sounds such as piano and strings.

268 Notes Total Polyphony

MODX M offers up to 268 notes of polyphony across its three engines:

• 128 notes for AWM2 Preset and User Waveform Parts
• 128 notes for FM-X Parts
• 12 notes for AN-X Parts

Additional Sound Features

• Preset Wave and Flash Memory Upgrade: Offers approx. 2x the memory over MODX/MODX+ with an increase from 5.68 GB to 10.7 GB of AWM2 memory, and 1.9 GB of User flash memory.
• VCM Rotary Speaker: Simulates the rich and enveloping motion of a classic rotary speaker cabinet.

Dedicated Part and Scene Control

You’ll find dedicated Part and Scene Selection buttons to control 8 Parts per Performance. Particularly beneficial for live performances, this intuitive control improves overall usability and adds dimension to each Performance.

High Resolution Control

The MODX M Knobs, Super Knob, Pitch Bend, Mod Wheel, and Sound Engine are now High Resolution. Because of the fine resolution, you’ll find the MODX M performs smoother than its predecessors.

Motion Control Synthesis Engine

Experience a new level of sound design with this groundbreaking engine using powerful tools such as:

• Motion Sequences: Dynamically automate synth and effect parameters, all perfectly in sync with your tempo.
• Super Knob: Control dozens of modulations with a single gesture.

ESP lets you create, edit and mix performances anywhere you happen to be – without the hardware – offering an unprecedented level of stage and studio integration.

USB MIDI 2.0 and Multichannel Audio Interface

Simplifying your studio setup, MODX M offers a USB MIDI and multichannel 10 output/4 input audio interface at 44.1kHz. Streamline MIDI recording, virtual instrument monitoring, and multi-track audio recording through a single USB cable. MIDI 2.0 delivers high-resolution data for note velocity, Super Knob, pitch bend, and modulation.

Cubase AI
